Yunus (Arabic: يُونُس, Yūnus, Persian: یونس, yūnes, Turkish: Yunus), also spelled Younas, Younes, Younis, Younous, Younus, Yunes, Yunis, Yunos and Yonas, is a common male given name, the Arabic version of the Greek Ιωνάς (Ionas), from the Hebrew יוֹנָה Jonah 'dove'.
